Bio

Jennifer Adorno is an applied research scientist and HPC/VDI Systems Engineer. She earned her PhD from the University of South Florida (USF) at the Ubiquitous Sensing Lab and REU Site. She also carries over a decade of IT experience managing critical infrastructure in the health and education space. Dr. Adorno focuses her research in Ubiquitous Sensing, Accessibility, EdTech, and Health, while focusing her IT expertise on Containerization, DevOps, virtualization (+VDI), and research computing (HPC). Her latest contributions include starting a High Performance Computing cluster at the Department of Physics (USF Physics), facilitating software and hardware labs for remote learning at the College of Engineering (USF CoE), and developing cost-effective approaches for self-care and remote monitoring of heart failure patients with the College of Nursing (USF CN).
